Each year the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage takes over 170 sick pilgrims to Lourdes. It is a hugely positive experience for the pilgrims (physically, emotionally and spiritually) and also provides valuable respite for their families and carers at home.

Many thanks to Jean McDonald and Geraldine Conlon for organising collections for the St. Teresa’s Parish Lourdes Fund, to help pay the costs for sick pilgrims to go to Lourdes.

On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July, their Fundraiser for the Pilgrimage was a great success and raised €610 between the raffle and donations received.  As well as raising money for the fund, this event also afforded the opportunity to express gratitude through some refreshments to the parishioners and friends of St Teresa’s for your most continued and most generous support for the Lourdes Pilgrimage.

The full amount collected over the summer months of May & June & early July will be delivered to the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage Office in Clonliffe, by Jean and Geraldine.

A list of the local shops that contributed to the coffee morning for the Fund is on the notice board at the back of the church.  The shops were very generous in their support of the event.

Once again, we would like to thank everybody for their very generous donations to the fund.  A special word of thanks to Jean and Geraldine for once again organising, accepting and delivering the contributions from the parish for the fund to the Diocesan organisers. Any final contributions to the fund can be handed in to parish house or the sacristy.

Application form are also available from the parish if anyone would like to apply to travel as one of the sick pilgrims.
