There will be a special parish collection on Palm Sunday, 13th April, in aid of Jack Dennehy, the grandchild of a family who attend St Teresa’s and who was baptised in hospital by Fr. John Hannan over two years ago. A little bit about Jack:
My name is Jack Dennehy. I’m two and a half years old and from Maryland. I was born 10 weeks early with an illness called PLV which is damaged brain tissue. I also developed chronic epilepsy and have a genetic disorder called an SZT2 mutation. All of this means I have low muscle tone. I can’t hold my head up or sit independently as a result. I am also peg fed and immune-compromised. I need 24 hour care and have had 40+ admissions to hospital from birth to January 2025. My family need to adapt my family home so I can have a safe space to grow, move around in, and live comfortably. Can you help us raise funds for building work? All donations gratefully received.
Also on Palm Sunday afternoon at 3pm in the parish house, we will also show a couple of episodes of the series “The Chosen” to include the Raising of Lazarus, up to the entry into Jerusalem. This will be followed by light refreshments. Donations to Jack’s fund can also be made at this. Please join us, all are welcome.
