Living Lent 2014 – Praying with Scripture and Pope Francis
Lent is a time of repentence and renewal
“I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting them encounter them; I ask of all of you to do this unfailingly each day.” Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium (the Joy of the Gospel).
This year the Office of Evangelisation & Ecuminism in the Dublin Diocese has produced a series of seven leaflets called Living Lent. People are invited to use this resource which encourages them to take time each day to read the scripture and insightful words taken from Pope Francis’ recent exhortation Evangelii Gaudium (Joy of the Gospel). The challenge is to Reflect on the words, Connect them to your life and then put the words into Action.
